Alhamdulillah,
I just took a course this week. I took an IELTS Preparation Class in IALF
(Indonesia Australia Language Foundation). Fortunately, the building where the
course be held is exactly across my office building! What a fate! I took this
course because I want to prepare my English well regarding my dream to study in
UK. So amazing Alhamdulillah. This is the first time I took an expensive course
which payment is same with my tution fee for two semesters! Never and never imagine
a dream bout this (even tho it is for you so-so but I’m so grateful since I pay
this course with my own money, Alhamdulillah2x J).
FYI, I really wanted to take a course since junior high school like my other
classmates who joined LIA, EF and something like that but due to lack of money,
I couldn't take course like my friends did and now I can! So, this is another
grateful hehehe
So,
I’m going to tell you what kind of class that I attend J
IALF
is a famous foundation from Australia which provides intensive English course
for student or anyone who wants to take IELTS test for their better career or
study. FYI, not only English which taught here but also Indonesian language. My
Indian partners in my office took Bahasa course every Monday and Wednesday.
They are so excited in learning bahasa! Teachers here are native speakers.
My
class only consist about 14-15 students. They have various aims in joining this
course. There are 5 women including me. First is Yeni, actually she already
graduated from Macquaire University in Australia and wants to have permanent
residency for working, therefore she needs IELTS score around 8.0. Nelky (a
nurse) and Atika (PNS in BPK) are same with me wanna apply scholarship for
Master Degree. Bu Dewi is a homeschooling teacher and she attends this course
just want to improve her skill in English and her knowledge about teaching,
amazing! Two men, Hari and Boy are workers and maybe want to take scholarship
for study. And the Rest are boys from International Class of Faculty of
Medicine, and from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. Boys from
International Class of Faculty of Medicine need IELTS because they are going to
Melbourne to finish their double degree study. So, who is the teacher?? The
teacher is so pastinya Bule, I think he might be from Aussie (but now I know
that he comes from Britain). His name is Nigel (baca: Nijeul) and so Happy that
he speaks in British English (of course he is British!! :D)
Well,
like other bule, he is straight to the point and easy going. I learn a lot from
his pronounciation. I love British Accent because its very sounds-catching and
elegant. To be honest (likewise he said this as usual :p), I like and loved to
be called “Sarah” (baca: Shera) in British Accent. Yeah, maybe some of you
think that its not important but for me its very very important since just from
this calling can motivated me well in gaining my dream study in UK.
So,
Every Wednesday night (no matter how many work still have to do during the
deadline) I should spare time 3 hours to across the street and studying J, also Half day in
Saturday, study and study. FYI, the students also have right to use library
during the course weeks. I will not let this chance go away (because of the
payment of course. Lol). Last but not least, I hope all of students here can
reach their own IELTS score target and their own dreams! Never will I give up!
:D
